Privacy Policy

Last updated: Feb 14, 2026

By using Universal Mermaid Renderer for Jira and Confluence, you acknowledge that you have reviewed the terms of our End User License Agreement (EULA) and this Privacy Policy. You confirm you have the authority to act on behalf of any person or company for whom you are using the Product and agree that we may process data in accordance with this policy.

LogicLemur Labs (“Company”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This App is built exclusively on Atlassian Forge and runs entirely within Atlassian’s cloud infrastructure.

1. Scope & Acknowledgement

By installing or using the App, you acknowledge that:

  • You have reviewed and agreed to this Privacy Policy.

  • Your use of the App is also subject to Atlassian’s terms and privacy policies.

  • This policy applies to all customers using the App on Jira Cloud and Confluence Cloud.

2. Definitions

  • App: Universal Mermaid Renderer for Jira and Confluence.

  • Customer: The Atlassian Cloud site administrator or organization installing the App.

  • User: Any individual whose data is accessed or rendered by the App.

  • Personal Data: Information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.

  • Processing: Operations performed on data as defined under applicable laws (e.g., GDPR).

3. Forge Platform & Data Roles

The App is developed using Atlassian Forge.

  • Infrastructure: Atlassian provides the runtime and storage. LogicLemur Labs does not host or operate independent servers for this App.

  • Data Protection Roles: Atlassian acts as the Data Controller; LogicLemur Labs acts as a Data Processor, processing data strictly to provide the rendering service.

4. Data Accessed by the App

The App accesses only the data required to render Mermaid diagrams [a script-based charting tool] within your Atlassian environment:

  • Issue/Page Content: Only the specific Mermaid syntax [code used to generate diagrams] provided by the user.

  • Metadata: Atlassian account identifiers (to verify permissions).

  • Contextual Data: Issue keys or Page IDs where the diagram is rendered.

The App does NOT access:

  • User passwords or emails.

  • IP addresses or browser fingerprints.

  • Any data outside the specific macro [a plugin component] where the Mermaid code is placed.

5. How Data Is Processed

Data is processed solely to:

  • Convert Mermaid syntax into visual diagrams (Flowcharts, Sequence diagrams, Gantt charts, etc.).

  • Ensure the diagrams display correctly across different Jira issues and Confluence pages.

  • Maintain user-defined configuration settings for diagram themes.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or third-party marketing.

6. Storage & Retention

  • Storage: Any persistent data (like saved diagram configurations) uses Forge storage, hosted and secured by Atlassian.

  • Retention: Data is retained only as long as the App is installed. Upon uninstallation, data is deleted per Atlassian Forge platform protocols (usually within 60 days).

7. Analytics & Usage Data

We may collect aggregated, anonymized usage data (e.g., "how many diagrams were rendered today") to improve performance. This data cannot be used to identify individual users or view the content of your diagrams.

8. Security Measures

Security is inherited from the Atlassian Forge ecosystem:

  • Isolation: The App runs in a "sandboxed" environment [a secure, isolated space] provided by Atlassian.

  • Encryption: Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Atlassian’s infrastructure.

  • Permissions: The App only accesses data that the logged-in user already has permission to see.

9. Data Subject Rights

Users wishing to exercise rights (access, correction, or deletion) should contact their Atlassian Site Administrator. As a Data Processor, LogicLemur Labs will assist the Customer in fulfilling these requests where technically applicable.

10. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of India, without regard to conflict of law principles.
