Team member user guide
Every day, you spend 30 seconds creating clarity.
Not for reporting.
Not for tracking performance.
For keeping the team moving smoothly.
This standup is a daily record of truth:
What moved forward
What is planned
What is blocked
When everyone participates, surprises disappear.
Your daily flow:
Reflect on yesterday
Plan today
Share mood and blockers
That’s all.
Making standup a well governed record which will improve productivity
The Daily Standup module is more than a text box; it is an integrated activity engine that reduces manual typing by syncing with the Jira issue graph.
Below are broad level features available for team member to submit the standup details in async manner which will save time to provide status update as well as making a good governance for facilitators.
A. Smart Suggestions
The backend JiraService scans your activity logs. It identifies:
Completed: Tickets moved to a "Done" category status.
In-Progress: Tickets with active transitions or new comments.
Upcoming: Tickets due today or at the top of your "To Do" list.
B. Submission Windows
To encourage a consistent team rhythm, Admins can set Submission Windows.
If a window is active (e.g., 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM), you will receive a notification to submit.
Submissions made outside this window may be marked as "Late" in the participation metrics.
C. Mood Tracking (Soft Signals)
We track five specific sentiment states:
Productive: Clear path, high output.
Focused: Deep work, no distractions.
Confused: Unclear requirements or technical direction.
Stressed: High workload or tight deadlines.
Blocked: Cannot proceed due to external factors.
Best Practices
While submitting status update team members can follow the best practices which will improve the value of product in their day to day life.
Be Specific: Instead of "Worked on tickets," use "Fixed the CSS bug on the login button."
Log Early: Submit your standup as your first task of the day to give facilitators time to clear your blockers.
Honest Moods: Don't be afraid to select 'Stressed' or 'Confused'; these are the "Soft Signals" that help managers prevent burnout.
